COVID-19 SERIES - MINISTER FOR FINANCE RESPONSE
ANRA was pleased to note that the Minister for Finance, the Hon Mathias Cormann, recently wrote to regional MPs advising them of changes to the Regulations covering approved expenditure under their office expenses allowances. Under the changes, Federal MPs representing a rural or provincial electorate will now be allowed to use up to one third their office expenses to communicate with constituents using community, commercial and/or open narrowcasting radio. ANRA applauds this positive step in helping to support local media and suggests ANRA members make themselves known to local MPs in regional areas and talk about potential opportunities.
